claudio goes to Korea

Flying a korean flagThis year Doris is very proud to have been invited to be part of South Koreas oldest cultural festival - The Ulsan Cheoyong Culture Festival - that has been running for 40 years.

In the first week of October 2007 we will be travelling with Chartwell Dutiro from Zimbabwe, Penny Avery from Jamaica/UK, Eugenia Ledesma from Argentina, claudio Kron do BRAZIL and Laercio dos Angos Borges from Brazil.

We will be running workshops and having jam sessions to create a Doris flavour at the event, culminating in our usual wonderful, celebratory finale involving all the workshop participants.

After the recent appearence of the Brazilian prcussionist claudio kron do do BRAZIL. In Ghana @ the celebration of 200 year of the slave albolition at the Elmina Castle alongside many artists such as: Geraldine O'Conneor, London Gospel Choir, Ghana Contetemporary dance, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Elise Carhty, Hugh Massekela there was the presence of John Kourfor the Ghana's presidente. ckB is now going back for the opening of the first Brazilian House in Accra, Ghana.

Claudio kron will be performing together with the Mustapha Tettey Addy Ghanean Master drummer and The Obonu Drummers'. Brazlian percussion workshops to culminate into a show on the 15 Nov 2007.
