Presentation

The project idea started in March of the year 2007. After the Brazilian percussionist claudio kron do BRAZIL performed @ Elmina Castle with the presence of John Kofour (President) also @ the British High Commission in Accra - Ghana for the celebrations of 200 year abolition of the slavery trade and 50 years independence of Ghana, Ghana 50

Drumming 4 Business, based in the UK the company was set up by claudio kron do BRAZIL who donated 30 instruments to start the first samba band in Accra, Ghana. The instruments is under the care of Kodzo from the department of Archeology in the University of Ghana. The equipment is available for various group from the Ghana community to get the benefit from the instruments creating music...

The project and the idea is in fast growth as the interest of people of Ghana into learn Brazilian rhythms. Rhythms that many years ago traveled to Brazil and the Brazilians developed it in the time length of of 507 years,.. In these case we are just bringing the African traditions back in of format of Brazilian Culture.

Event

The 3rd appearance of SambaGhana was a brilliant success, thank to everyone who was there and made it a special day. Special thank you to Luis Inacio Lula da Silva the president of Brazil who visited Ghana as part of the diplomatic agreements between Ghana and Brazil.

Objective

The SambaGhana with the objective of promoting leisure, culture and business samba Ghana has the intention of incentive + motivate people and create musicians, dancers, visual artists in general giving them an injection of inspiring ideas and building interest and connections for who willing to expand there horizons. Network of musicians and artists. To culminate into an incredible Carnival in Accra "The first one", in the coming years.
